Retracing the old steamer and sailing ship routes from Helensville to Dargaville through

the historic Kaipara Harbour aboard our comfortable vessel M.V. Kewpie Too.

Day One: We cruise through the little travelled eastern reaches of the Kaipara Harbour

from Helensville past Shelly Beach, South Head, Tinopai to Pahi, where we join our coach for

the short journey across to Dargaville. Our accommodation for the evening is the Northern Wairoa Hotel and the Central Hotel, These old time hotels are clean and comfortable, however not all rooms have ensuite facilities.

If you require Motel accommodation this is available at an extra. $35.00 per person twin share, the Motels are out of the main town centre.

Lunches day one and two, morning/afternoon teas and Dinner Bed and Continental Breakfast is also included on this cruise.

Day Two: We Cruise from Dargaville through the Northern Wairoa River, past Te Kopuru, Ruawai, Kelly's Bay, and many other beautiful Bays and Inlets, where early gum diggers camped before making our way past Pouto Point across the Kaipara Heads before returning to Helensville.
