If you are cycling the  2025-26 Tour Aotearoa

Trail from Cape Reinga through the Kaipara Harbour,  Kaipara Cruises will be operating

limited departure dates for the cruise from

Pouto Point across the Kaipara Harbour to

Parakai, Helensville.  This is a 3 hour journey

from Pouto Point to Parakai, departure times

vary due to the tides.

Outside of these dates we can operate 

Cruises from Pouto to Helensville on demand

on a private charter basis with shared cost up to $980.00, over $980 this cost reverts back to $80.00pp.

Please book your private charter in plenty of time to allow us to help you by  adding other inquiries onto your booking to keep the price down for you.

 

We do suggest if possible you try planning in advance with your crossing around our Wednesday Specials or advertised set dates, see below,to help get the numbers we require to cater for everyone.

To help your fellow solo cyclists and Kaipara Cruises, outside of the official Brevet, please book early so we can work on dates and  numbers and keep the cost down for you and keep the crossings more regular.

Depending on weather conditions on the day where we pick up from at Pouto next to the wharf Dargaville side off the beach if windy. Skipper will decide when he arrives the best pick up point.​
